Vinson & Elkins has represented and continues to represent two of the largest airlines in the United States, as well as other regional carriers, financial institutions, and certain other clients in connection with aviation finance matters. V&E's clients have acted in a variety of capacities in aviation finance transactions, including as lessees under leveraged leases; lessees under single investor finance leases; lenders in synthetic lease transactions; borrowers under secured syndicated financings; lenders in secured syndicated lending transactions; issuers of various notes, certificates and equity interests; sponsors in certain structured finance transactions; guarantors of secured credit facilities; lessees under defeased cross-border leases; and sellers under sale-leaseback transactions.
